A welcome text from Telstra the other day - my iPhone data plan has been upgraded fro free to 9 GB from 3GB. That’s great - full prices are here.
But sadly I have data switched off at the moment, as that iPhone is not in Australia, but New Zealand. I have not cracked the iPhone, and I am too cheap to pay the roaming fees of…well, that’s when it gets difficult.
Try to find the cost of data roaming in NZ on Telstra’s website. Go on. Use Telstra’s own search and links - don’t cheat and use Google.
I failed.
So I tried Telstra’s online chat, and after a short wait (much easier to wait online than on a phone) I had this conversation.

First they came for my electricity, and I did nothing. Then they came for my gas, and I did nothing. Then they came for my electricity again, and I got mad and blogged about it.
Now they have come for my internet. and my phone. and my Sky TV.
I arrived back home here in Wellington after far too many months overseas to find all three of these utilities are not functioning. (All bills are paid.) Actually I have no idea about the phone, but I assume it is off - you’ll see why.
I called Sky first, and they remotely reset my card and everything worked again instantly. Well done Sky, and very quick and efficient on the phone.
Next I tried the to restore internet. The wifi network was fine, router looked ok and was even reporting up and downstream speeds. So I called ISP Orcon. They also answered pretty quickly, which […]

Well, we are a business. The Secretary of State in the great state of Texas has approved our request to form an LLC. Additionally, we have then purchased liability insurance from a very reputable local insurance company and have also been approved to operate as a builder by the TRCC. The TRCC is the state organization that approves or denies registration as a builder within the state. We received our approval yesterday. We are now allowed to operate as a builder and get clients. To top it off, our insurance agent has referred us to four of his clients for hurricane repair. More to follow later.

This is part 16 in a series on the Proverbs 31 Woman.

She makes linen garments and sells them,
And supplies belts to the tradesmen.  Prov. 31:24

One thing this verse does is to settle the argument as to whether or not it is biblical for women to work.  We knew from verse 16, that the Proverbs 31 Woman had her own earnings and invested them.  Now verse 24 gives us a better idea of how she got her earnings.
From verse 13, we learned that the Excellent Wife enjoyed working with fibers and textiles.  From verse 19, we also learned that linen (which she makes garments from) is made from one of the fibers mentioned, the flax plant.  Now we learn that she earns her money through these same pursuits, by making garments of linen and belts which she sells through local merchants.
